(Currently on leave until March 2025) I believe that positive mental health is an important part of every healthy individual. To facilitate this, I help clients achieve balance and contentment in all aspects of life by collaboratively setting goals and creating a plan to reach their full potential. I enjoy assisting clients in developing practical strategies they can use to better cope with stress, trauma, panic, depression, anxiety, and mood, even after therapy ends.

I completed a Masters in Counseling Psychology and also hold a BSc in Psychology and a BEd. My current professional designation is Registered Psychotherapist. My own cultural experience and work I have done in my community has helped me truly understand and provide culturally sensitive therapy. Having worked as a teacher, I am familiar with the range of problems affecting individuals today.

I use Brief Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my approach and tailor it to each client’s needs. Through non-judgmental active listening, genuine warmth, and a sincere desire to help, I strive to create an atmosphere in which clients feel comfortable and safe sharing thoughts and emotions.

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile. Choosing a therapist with solid credentials is important, but I also hope that my genuine warmth and non-judgemental, casual style will quickly allow you to feel comfortable seeking help. As a Clinical and Health Psychologist, I provide psychotherapy for adults with a broad range of presenting issues. These include depression, anxiety, insomnia, or managing challenging medical conditions such as cancer.

I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in my work. CBT is a time-limited, goal-oriented therapy that focuses on learning new patterns of thinking and behaving. Of all psychotherapeutic approaches, CBT has the most evidence from well-controlled research showing that it works for specific problems.

I am a founder and Clinical Director at Connect Cognitive Therapy, a dedicated group of knowledgeable professionals who provide high-quality, evidence-based, compassionate care to help our clients lead more satisfying lives. I obtained my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from McGill University in 2006, and I have been a Registered Psychologist in Ontario for the past 10 years, working in the areas of Clinical and Health Psychology. I have 10 years experience as a clinician, researcher, and educator. This has included being employed as a full-time Psychologist at Credit Valley Hospital and tutoring medical students at the Mississauga Academy of Medicine, University of Toronto.
